Hadi & Marwan Aladdin are Dubai-born Canadian entrepreneurs, authors, speakers and start-up mentors. They are the founders of various profitable ventures in North America and the Middle East, including: CoursePeer Inc. (www.coursepeer.com), Kula Technologies Inc. (www.getkula.com), Lifestyle Wellness International (www.lifestyle2b.com), Organic 2.0 and others, spanning the fields of education technology, food ordering technology, wellness & fitness, cleantech and agriculture.
Being entrepreneurs since high school, they co-founded their first venture in the video games industry with a six-figure angel investment in Dubai. Later on, they started providing software and middleware consulting services for organizations and healthcare institutions in Canada and the Middle East. Their work has been featured at various reputable conferences and publications, including the Harvard Business Review, Deloitte reports, and Dubai School of Government's Social Media report. CoursePeer is the owner of ArabCode,org, the $22million USD CAPEX initiative aiming to teach millions of Arab students computer programming through game-based approaches. CoursePeer has established mega partnerships with the Middle East's key investment and government entities including the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Education and UAE's TECOM Investments, which owns and operates 11 business parks representing Dubai's key industry sectors. Additionally, CoursePeer has launched various successful Joint Ventures including the Franchise University (www.FranUniversity.com), a service offering global franchise groups a powerful cloud-based training and collaboration solution for their franchisees.
Their journey started when they learned the C++ programming language at the age of 11, and presented their first "Credit Card biometric-based security" solution to MasterCard Worldwide's senior executives during their high-school years, encouraging them to pursue a career in Hardware & Software Security. Later on at the age of 16, they became active contributors of platform-fixes and security-vulnerabilities to well-known corporates such as Skype.
Hadi & Marwan are heavily involved in not-for-profit and charity organizations such as the Daughters for Life Foundation and Jusoor, and have been invited as speakers on topics such as Education Technology and Big Data at various international and regional conferences including the MIT Enterprise Forum and the Annual Conference of the Higher Education Quality Council of Ontario. Hadi is a frequent judge and mentor at various regional and international incubators and competitions including: Startup Weekend, HumberLaunch, Decode Dubai (by Dubai Internet City), Smart City App Hack and "The Hatchery" - the University of Toronto incubator that he co-founded. Hadi & Marwan hold Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Engineering degrees from the University of Toronto.
